Why it's important to understand Video Podcast.

All right. Well why not? Results podcast. Here we go. You ready for this, Joe Black? I’m excited. It’s been it’s been an interesting couple of months. Skin here a little bit more into getting a little bit more involved. It’s been fun making the making the ads we’ve done so far. So excited for the future and what it holds. It really know what it holds. But it’s looking looking promising so far I enjoy it. I agree, and I’m excited to, work with you. And I got to know you through your father, and, you got some cool, innovative ideas. I, I’ve got to say, as a 49 year old adult out there, I don’t necessarily understand the 24 year old adult out there. So it’s been refreshing for me to kind of hear what’s going on in your brain and, and kind of marry up with where my brain fits into this puzzle. And I think between the two of us, we’re kind of we’re seeing the, how we it’s very complementary right to one another, you know, the skill sets, which is kind of cool.

Blog Post 1: "Why a Professional Studio Makes All the Difference in Podcasting"

Introduction:
Creating a podcast can be as simple as pressing “record” on your phone, but for those looking to elevate their content, investing in a professional studio can be a game-changer. From enhanced audio-visual quality to the creative freedom a studio provides, the benefits are undeniable.

Main Content:

  1. The Power of Space
At home, you’re limited by your surroundings—poor lighting, restricted angles, and unintentional background noise. A studio offers a dedicated, controlled environment with customizable backdrops, optimal lighting, and professional-grade equipment.
  2. Access to High-End Equipment
Studios come equipped with top-tier cameras, microphones, and lighting. These tools not only improve content quality but also streamline production, allowing you to focus on your message.
  3. Streamlined Workflow
Working in a studio means you have a team and infrastructure in place, reducing the time and effort needed to set up and tear down your equipment.
  4. Creative Collaboration
Studios often have experienced staff who can guide you in crafting your vision, offering technical and creative advice.

Conclusion:
Investing in a professional studio like Why Not Results can transform your podcast from a hobby into a polished, professional production.

Questions for Further Reflection:

  1. What are the key challenges you face when recording at home?
  2. How do you ensure consistent quality in your podcast?
  3. Have you considered the ROI of studio-quality content?
  4. What story are you trying to tell with your podcast?

It’s been really fun to watch what you’re doing on your live channel, your uncensored commentary. You know, there’s a little plug out there for what? Joe’s up to you on the Cardinal games out there. Why not? Results give me the opportunity to do it. So yeah, it’s badass. And so that’s kind of where this journey began. And so you spend a lot of time in the studio and, and now we’re working on now actually recording right now for, you know, again and when I’ve been more.

Yeah. Doing a little bit more. So it’s interesting. So guys, what we’re, what’s kind of fun we’re going to start so you can start seeing Joe and I talk a lot more on, doing podcasts like this for why not results specifically, along with our partner Jimmy and other and Oscar and other people who are involved in our process and just kind of turn back the conversation to the challenges of making consistent content.

And, whether you’re live streaming, whether you’re recording for podcast purposes. In my case, I use the podcast format for my other business because I just I’m trying to get content out of financial professionals brains. Right. I’m not necessarily putting it out there in podcast format or going live because I’m scared to go live. I don’t have I don’t have the balls to go live like you do.

So deal deal with the haters, all the deal with the people who are always bringing up, bringing up something to complain about with a lot of that stuff too, which is difficult, but it’s fun. I mean, that’s why I enjoy it. That’s what I’ve been doing, is that side of it is the the live, the doing it for a long time.

So it kind of got used to it. I get used to it. But so on that note, tell me a little bit more about the difference between shooting Live at Home with what you were doing, compared to doing it in the studio. How does what did you expect in and versus what? What was the reality of what you’ve seen?

Yeah, I think one of the biggest things was the scope and the the ability to do more. When you have a bigger space. It’s one of those where you think of, my live streams, which are, you know, one camera, if the lighting, not my great little ring light, that’s kind of lighting me up, and that’s kind of about it.

Yeah. Some LEDs on my table, and that’s kind of it. And with the way that my apartment’s kind of built very rigid and where I can kind of go with it, you know, I’m stuck in this. I’m stuck in a corner. I can’t go anywhere else because it’s where I’m living. My girlfriend isn’t my to be on camera.

Stuff like that. Coming to the studio was. Yeah. I mean, Joe, you got used the space. Whatever you need, whatever you want to do. Which, again, kind of looking forward to working with the wine results and trying to blend it for people who are also looking to kind of elevate their podcast, elevate whatever they’re trying to do for social or social content or anything like that, the opportunity to be able to have this big space and be able to put it up in a corner and then get a background and then get different colors and stuff like that, like that was just, something that I didn’t recognize could play such a role, even

just from two lights, like two lights that light up your face, like it’s literally just one light in my, in my apartment. That’s kind of at a weird angle and it lights up half my face. So and only this side is lit up. So I think that was kind of the biggest thing was just, the ability to do more with just like a few more items and being able to do that at the studio has been pretty astonishing.

And then obviously the with the live streaming stuff, when it came to my live streaming and gaming versus doing the sports, being able to line up three different cameras in three different spots, multiple people. Yeah, more for you and your name and good microphones and stuff like that. Like things that I was not not that I wasn’t like, I didn’t it’s not that I didn’t understand those things, but I had never used them more than anything.

Like I’ve been around cameras, with my dad working in it and had been around cameras with, like college and at ASU, like filming stuff, and especially like my senior year going, going on trips for, study abroad and stuff like that. It was around a lot of cameras, but not not in the way of filming, podcast filming, live streams much worn that were taking photos and trying to get like this kind of stuff together.

So it was one of those where I had been around cameras for a long time, but didn’t recognize, like the power of three cameras of even, you know, like simple cameras and super complex cameras, like the cameras we use, you get to two more simple ones than one beefy one. That’s just over-the-top crazy. Yeah. And later it’s one of those where you don’t.

I didn’t recognize how different cameras can really be just from, like, a tier level, almost like it’s not like you had really impressed how you’ve caught on to, the, the various settings much quicker than I did. I feel like that was a, such a it’s been a long learning curve for me. I just for whatever reason, it’s funny little words like F-Stop and aperture and you know, they just don’t see it.

And yeah, you’re right. I just, like, grabbed my phone and here we go. When you’ve got so much stuff going on and you’re trying to learn that stuff, it just it just gets so difficult. Like trying to get trying to get well endowed with all that kind of knowledge is just it’s just difficult when you’ve got a family life full time jobs, like it’s difficult to learn all that stuff, even when you have the studio right here.

Like, I can only imagine how difficult it is without any of that stuff, trying to unlearn it as well. I it’s not it’s not easy. And that’s part of the reason I’ve been, you know, just trying to just build a team for people to kind of help these different, niche aspects of the whole process. Right. Coming up, the what we’re going to talk about is, you know, challenging enough finding the guest speakers.

Yeah. What’s the topic and subject matter? And then you can to come in here and try to put together the piece, gather the details from the audio to I can just mention all the cameras. It’s just it’s it’s a lot. I give myself credit for thinking I was way more, way smarter and more and more, I really took for granted what these video professionals do.

Yeah. That we and it just looks like so easy. Yeah. Right. Like chicken wire. You got this. I consider myself to be a fairly intelligent human being, but the, learning curve on this has been a pain in the ass. So thank goodness for guys like Oscar and hey, yeah, it’s kind of been around me and my life to have helped coach, and teach us, but still, every day is learning and, it’s pretty fun.

And that’s his creating the footage. And what the hell do you do with it after what’s right with you? That’s what I really am. It might have your live shroud. Yeah, well, your livestreaming stuff is cool because you’re already putting it out there, right? It’s like it’s instantly I have it on there, immediately interacting live in live time with people.

And I think I told you that’s how we started the studio, right? I had that beast of a oh yeah, this is in back there right now. It’s an insane, insane board. An insane board. Yeah. It’s, you know, it’s so I started there in the light thinking I want to be in the live space, but then quickly realized that the look wasn’t.

You know, I’m not a I’m not a TV stick room, so I definitely like this look a lot better. So I should have started with the dSLR and then worked into the live streaming. So I did it backwards, which is crazy to me because of how much like for me it’s been an interesting again, like with the uncensored commentary.

Like that’s where like my inspiration for live content came from sports. Like that’s all. That’s all sports are, is live broadcasts of a thing, of whatever it is. And I think that was kind of like growing up, one of those where you, you think about it and you’re like, oh, this is an interesting aspect of life. And like something that I would like to work in, and I do gaming for a little bit and then start doing uncensored commentary.

And I think it’s one of those where the barrier of entry for a lot of that kind of realm of work or video podcasting. Yeah, stuff like the barrier of entry for it can be pretty steep for a lot of people, just because of the knowledge we have to gain the time you have to put in. I mean, like you said, the content creation is everybody needs it and it’s incredibly difficult to consistently do on a daily basis when you don’t have people who are doing that.

It’s just it’s hard to do on your own. It’s hard for me to do on my own. When I was doing my stuff, when when we were looking at your stuff like it, it’s just difficult. Well, you know, in what I’ve, you know, it’s because of what you just said is such a mouthful, right. To create this many pieces.

Right. I’ve started off making a lot of individual videos, just talking to the camera and, and, and talking about one particular subject matter, whether it was definitions or whether it was trying to. Some explain explanatory video and, and I definitely found that through this. Thank goodness for the Joe Rogan in the podcasting world. Right. Opening my eyes to just having a conversation and recognizing being able get the marbles out of my mouth, but then also have all that content, that long form content to then splice into.

Yeah, ten pieces, all those like little intricate and like, in complete pieces that you put together. Oh yeah, it’s insane. And it’s crazy to see how much it’s grown like Joe Rogan. I it’s funny because I’ve, I’ve told the people I’ve talked to you about coming in and trying it out just to see like, hey, I don’t know if you’re interested in it or whatever it is, but yeah, like Joe Rogan started out as a comedian and he’s now progressed into whatever you want to call it, what he does now, if you’re on the planet and then still does UFC and all that other stuff, like when it was time.

Yeah, man, I have no idea. They see what he does. It’s Baffert I got it. And he loves me every day I don’t think talk about working on a lot of things that he’s he’s got to just have he’s got to be close like his his area of work. Got to be so close to where he’s at. I got to think like a studio’s close by UFC stuff.

I mean, I guess he’s flying out for that stuff all the time because it’s that’s in different places all the time. But it’s been crazy to see that growth with podcasting. When it was like you said, it was just audio for ever. Yeah, for the longest time. And then like, it was kind of like YouTube was YouTube video speaking to a camera, podcasting was podcasting, and they were separate things.

And you’ve seen now the bleeding from one into the other. And then with even some people who do the like, some people do like the live stream podcast and stuff, where it’s like nine people at a table and they’re all talking and it’s like, yeah, that’s a cheesy, let’s should do that. We should, we do I going live at this to this point, people will be like, yeah, we will make fun of us haters.

We don’t care. Well, actually watch reading it on, watch me walk around and put the cameras up in the seats. Then it is chair dunk in this microphone, see what you come up with. People are just correcting you on like how to set eyes up and stuff. So you know so look at your posture. You’re doing it all right.

But yeah learn when we’re in Jersey. Is there anything people are just commenting on. You’re just like, we’re not even talking about this jersey right now. But that’s a that’s the beauty of my side of it. But that’s what the beauty of podcasting is to with Joe Rogan, like in his realm of work, is that it’s it’s just him and whatever he wants to do, it’s just him, which I think is something that a lot of people want is their story to be able to share with people, because everyone’s got a very relevant story, a very interesting story when it comes to their business, to their lives, whatever they’re doing.

I think that’s what podcasting has now turned into as a as a fun way for people to get their story out there without feeling like they’re being forced to do it in like, an offered way or like a, like you said, like a cut up way where you can’t. If you’re doing like videos, you try and be perfect the whole time podcasting, you just talk about whatever you’re doing.

And if it’s imperfect, imperfect, it’s not that big a deal. And and it’s fun to go and see it after two or so. And then somebody said, you’re having a beer at times and talk it done things and capturing those conversations, getting a little loose. And I get a little frog, especially when new people see you, when you try to bring in clients and stuff like that.

That’s that’s the fun part of it. And most people I, you know, like you said, most people are pretty interesting when it comes. And we actually stop and talk with people. If you had, you usually had some pretty interesting experiences in their life. They’re different than yours and they have their own interesting people they’ve surrounded themselves with. And, so I, I just it’s been a fun journey for sure.

I’m definitely really liking this. And I like the direction that, we’re really taking the studio and I really like, what I again, what you’re opening my mind to, you know, it’s it’s it’s it’s very you’re inspiring you in a lot of areas to open my thought process, to get over my own personal fears, you know, the whole live streaming thing.

It’s where I started, but I’m still not over that fear. It’s still not right. I can. It’s nerve wracking every day. I do it too. Damn it, I’m doing it. I’m doing when I go live with my gaming stuff, which I’ve been doing for however long and still nervous. What are people going to say? Is it going to be good?

Am I doing well enough? But when I was were yeah, you just with time. With time it gets easier and easier and easier. So let’s get into, shameless flow. We’re doing pretty good here. 14 minutes in. It’s amazing how quickly tired I that’s why I mean, maybe we burn the first minute and BS and but but it does fly by.

So while we’re on here, let’s just kind of talk about what we’re trying to provide for people a little bit and do some shameless plugs for why not results. And, and and for you specifically what you’re trying to help people with in the evening Times, we’ve kind of recognize that our studio, that we use primarily for, our, our other businesses, personal businesses and, and other corporate clients, it’s been sitting here fairly just unused in the evening times, a Saturday.

So we’re really trying to capitalize on that opportunity. And, in that time and make it very affordable for people not have to break the bank because that’s a problem with video. It’s expensive. Yeah. You know, that is the main fundamental issue. And if you want to avoid the expense and you’re setting up a studio in your house or your office, which is great, but it’s a hassle and you’re dealing with footage.

So, we’ve been working together for about a month and a half now, trying to piece together packages. What makes sense, what makes it easy for them to come in and have you do it? Set up the cameras and lighting to their specific look, like what we’re seeing right now. But really, the goal here is to make it easy for people to walk in and shoot, talk it out, out, jump ship.

And then, ultimately you’re going to we’re going to provide them a, a cleaned up, you know, long, long form version that they can take home and manipulate themselves. Because once you have the long form, it’s pretty easy with the AI tools that are out there. Most people have a buddy or kit, or rather, some even interested people who are looking to get, like most people know, someone who’s looking to try it out, at least for a little bit, which is always beneficial.

But the challenge is getting the footage. Yeah, right. And that’s the challenge that we’re going to alleviate for people. Right? We’re going to help them get that good quality audio, good video footage, and then they manipulate how they want and in. So I’m really excited. I think the people, the few people we’ve spoken to about so far are very interested.

It seems like every person I talk to, if they have any interest in video, they’re all open to the idea, immediate. So, you know, we have put together these affordable packages for people to come in, you know, right now we’re started off at 225 bucks, and then they have their, their slot, there that’s, you know, whatever the third Wednesday at 4:00 or 6:00.

What are we doing, a four, six and eight. Is that what we recommend? Those in those slots? Monday through Friday. And then, Saturday is what do we decide on what it says? We are still kind of we’re still trying to figure out we kind of stayed with 4 to 4 to 8 or 4 to ten inches that four, four, six, eight.

So we did some things. We did a ten of two nights. Hey, we were and set up. Yeah. Ten, 12 two. And then we were just kind of working through it, trying to figure out, does it make more sense to have the middle of the day? Are more people available in the middle of the day or more people trying to spend most of their day hanging out, doing whatever they want to do, and they come in later in the night kind of similar to like the weekdays, which I think one of those we’re again, we’re, we’re, we’re flexible.

If someone was like, hey, I got to come in at, oh, at 12:00, that sounds good. And then if someone was like, hey, I gotta come in at six, I’m I’m available. So let’s be clear. That’s Joe saying that we’re going to the county for that because you’re not. Come on. Oh, you’re talking at 12 p.m.. Oh boy.

I was like, oh, I paid midnight would be midnight dinner. Why do I go so senior year for the 24 year I’m never turned down. Business is all I’m saying. I’m never going to turn down. Well, all right, I completely took that. I just. Yeah. That’s, Yeah, I think it’s it’s. We’ll see what what happens with the market.

I, I do believe that there’s going to be, we do have limited slots. And there are already starting to get filled up. So I’m really excited to continue on this journey, help people figure out what kind of customize. Look. You know, we obviously like a little cleaner look, but some people want the bookshelves. Yeah, the things in the background.

We have some other studio space around the studio that they might, they might like, but, you know, teach there. All right. That’s the beautiful thing about having this, this dedicated space, which is private and that I can be anybody else. Yeah, that is the benefit to me. I think, like going kind of back to what you’d asked at the beginning about what was the biggest surprise to me is just the the level of customization is, is pretty incredible when it comes to what we really can do here.

It’s there’s a lot of stuff and stuff that you would me haven’t even thought of yet, that someone’s going to come in and be like, oh, you know, like I had kind of thought, you know, if we could do this and it’s like, oh, I yeah, I mean, we definitely can do that for sure. I just hadn’t thought of that.

Right. So I think having like you said, the private studio, you don’t have people come in and it’s just your time slot is yours. Whoever you’re bringing, if it’s just you or you and one other person, whatever it is, the beauty of it is just having that spot for yourself and being able to completely focus on it and deliver your best, performance or whatever you want to call it when you’re doing your podcast.

Because I feel like that’s something that can be difficult is the distractions of other things. If you’re doing it at home, you never know if you’ve got kids, if you’ve got family, like that’s a lot of stuff to be, hey, I’m going to sit down for an hour. That’s a lot of time when it comes to other stuff going on in your life.

So having that private time of your spot, if you are an hour, hour and a half. So to do it and having your own personal look, it just it’s, it’s just going to be really cool to see what people come up with when they come in. Now, I hadn’t thought about that. And you’re absolutely right because everybody sees things through a different lens.

Absolutely. So I’m we do, we do allow for that flexibility. So you’re right, I’m kind of curious to see because my, my brain only sees what it sees personally. So, All right, man, I think this was, kind of a good, good jump off point for us. Just kind of talk about to get our first one under the gun here and there and say, I’m always.

I’m always having. I always like to talk. So forever we’ll have we’ll have a lot of good conversations moving forward. So in moving forward, I think what we’re going to really try to focus on too, is educating people on tips and tricks on how they can do it themselves or, you know, those who want to come in, you know, value their time and had can afford us, you know, hire somebody to come in and do this for 225 bucks.

A great. But for those people who just don’t have that budget or they just have the personal passion. Yeah, I want to learn, we’re gonna help those people, figure out the how to how to do it. Because we’ve. I’ve definitely stumbled for years trying to piece it together. Yeah. And, there’s no reason that other people.

I’m. I’m a good person to reach out for that kind of stuff. If you guys ever want to reach out. I’ve been doing it in my house for or my apartment. I did it in my apartment, and then I moved back home, did it at my house. I went back to an apartment. So I’ve done a lot of that kind of at home work and stuff like that.

So as a podcast, my dad. Yeah he does I, I shameless plug it. Misfits is kind of his stuff but he’s comedy for IT professionals and stuff like that. But he’s been doing it. We renovated an entire garage to have him be able to have his own office and have post-Covid because of everything that kind of happened. But I’ve been around a lot of that home, so you know what it takes.

Yeah, and it’s all and it’s a lot. It can be. Yeah. Like I said, it’s it’s difficult. It’s not a barrier of entry like I said is it’s it’s tough to be learning all that stuff as well as trying to do which I don’t know if you’ve seen with my dad. Like that’s a definite problem for him, was like trying to break into this massive area of of opportunity, but not really having any idea on how to break into it.

And that’s what that’s what makes it difficult, is then trying to learn all that stuff all at the same time, and then not having any guidance whatsoever because you’re just like, yeah, I don’t know. But okay, so I’ve been around a lot of that. So I was the core to having conversations with people about that kind of stuff when they’re looking to start their own channels, podcasts, live streams and stuff.

Like, I always find it fun to give a little bit of, a little bit of an inspiration or, understanding of what I have in short, little time. I’ve been here, so. Right. Right. Yeah. That’s great. All right. Well, guys, everybody out there, feel free to reach out to Joe or myself. We’re here to help. Even if it’s just to pick our brains.

You know, we love to talk to people. We’re both talkers. And so something we definitely have in common. So? So we’re dangerous. You might be here a little longer than you expect. You call us and ask for help. It might be a bit of a long phone call. That’s the price you pay when it’s, Yeah. We look forward to doing more of these.

And, I really look forward to working with you further. Yeah. I’m excited. I’m excited to meet you, brother. It’ll be good. All right. Cool. That’s a wrap. So let’s do this at the end of it. Here’s something else I recommend. So might be a cut off point there for that. And then, I do think that they should like, what’s fresh.

Like, I think this is where you look directly into the camera. Right. And you could do one and I can do one as well, though, and just look into the camera and am super excited. We just did it. Just got done doing a show on this guy. All right. Just looking at that camera directly. And we just got done doing a show on introduction to our podcast packages that we’re doing here.

Whatever you want to say, whatever comes you want you to say my name. Yeah. Oh, yeah. And yeah, I’ll do it on the radio, but yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. And just kind whatever’s top of mind. Right. That’s one thing when they’re fresh. Yeah. So just point about it. All right. So typically we would stop the cameras. But why not.

We’ll just maybe that doesn’t make sense. And we just all roll together. We just get in the habit of knowing it’s on the back end. Yeah, it’s at the end of the video. Yep, yep. So true. All right, everybody. Well, I’m super excited to introduce you to Joe Black, young 24 year old stud who’s looking to show us how to get into live streaming and work with us here.

Why not results and help us really improve the technique of video podcasting, and also help us come together with making a, affordable package for any of those people looking to dip their toe in the water or who just have an ongoing content need. So listen up, get introduced to myself and Joe, and we’ll tell you a little bit about our story and our journey and our packages that you might be interested in.

Enjoy. There you go. That was what I’m trying to figure out how to do that. I ain’t got no idea how to do that. I just, again, just look into the camera and just talk to your audience, just like you do.

How’s it going? Everybody is good to see. I’m Joe Black and just wrapped up our first podcast. Me and Mario, the owner of Why Not Results, putting together a couple introductory packages for you guys to come in and do what you guys want to do with the studio and give you guys an opportunity to work in this realm of of video.
